Using focus groups

We ran a focus group last week at Freelance which gave us some solid insights.

The purpose was to better understand our customers’ decision-making rationale and investigate new service offerings. We were able to keep the demographics of the group pretty uniform- they were A-level customers, high earning, with extended time living in the UK, and all in the same industry.

Some of the outcomes were surprising- things that we hadn’t heard in other conversations with customers. And much of it fed into or supported some new service offerings we’re developing.

We’re scheduling a second one with a different group to test our proposals.
